The River That Never Runs Dry

On my journey in life, my mind wanders upon unexpected subject matters. And I actually stumble upon wise methods to deal with issues and I’m enlightened. Then I begin to think of even more questions to present to God in prayer to receive the right answer.

But this time, it wasn’t prayer. It was just like a thought that flowed in from the river of enlightenment. Like a single golden leaf that one would bend over and catch from flowing down stream, with the obvious question of why is this the only one in the river amongst all the other leaves on the trees along its banks.

Some research from Google about the Golden Leaf: A single golden leaf generally symbolizes spiritual enlightenment, divine wisdom, prosperity, and the cycle of life and renewal due to the association of gold with higher realms and the leaf representing growth and transformation in nature; it can also signify a moment of peace and acceptance in the face of change, particularly when considering the beauty of a golden leaf even as it falls from a tree.

“What could this thought be? I thought of Israel’s Kings not being able to prosper and please God satisfactorily in the Old Testament. As for prospering, most of them reigned very short terms on the throne for disobedience. And as for God’s satisfaction, the first point also speaks to this homage forbade. To do as God has asked, places us in His favor, and promotes us to heavenly places. Which brings me to the point of our leadership today. If God called you, would you realize HIS act of recalling you to a humble position of listening to what He is saying to do, or while you are in position, are you still listening to God’s voice. We’ve received the call, but hearing the instructions, and the depth to continue in the faith to lead becomes hard. Sometimes to our own demise if we are not humble, and not conscientious enough about our own souls and the souls around we are responsible for..

To the ministry teams today, Husband and Wife, Pastors and Co-Pastors, are we listening with the right attitude to the word through our co-laborers in the field of ministry? Or do You feel that God called the Pastor, and if a specific word needs to be preached, God would have told you, and not your help, not your assistant, and not your wife. If so, let us humble ourselves before we miss the blessings that only come from God. We should be zealous, and in love with our God, and not our call, that won’t serve anyone but self if we do not serve God right.

If your house is indeed a House of God, then you can stand to receive the word as He so chooses, and from whom He choose to give it to, then release it to you and the rest of the body of Christ. God makes no mistakes, but only mankind, who refuse to seek Him for His will and direction. Ask yourself this one thing? “If I, the head shepherd of the house, have stopped hearing or following the will of God, then who is hearing HIS will to perform it so they may please Him?”

So, be thankful for your co-laborers. You put them in place for a reason. And God, HE just may be using them for reasons that you’ll thank HIM for.
